03 / OVERVIEW

Overview

Izakaya Seasun represents the first U.S. location of an established Korean hospitality brand, bringing its distinctive dining concept to Manhattan's NoMad neighborhood. JKM Architecture led the adaptation of the brand's Korean design standards to meet New York City's regulatory, technical, and construction requirements while preserving the identity of the original concept. JKM's involvement extended from architectural design and permitting through construction administration and on-site coordination, addressing the challenges of translating an established international restaurant concept into a functioning New York hospitality environment. The completed project demonstrates JKM's ability to bridge international design standards and local construction practices.
